This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") is part of the Terms of Service and applies to everyone who accesses or uses makojima.com, including public pages, accounts, learning features, Agents, uploads, and supporting interfaces.
Examples below are illustrative, not exhaustive. You may not help another person violate this Policy or use an indirect method to do what is prohibited directly.
Scope
Use the Service only for lawful educational, informational, and personal purposes consistent with these policies and the limits shown in the product. You are responsible for prompts, files, links, feedback, and other material you submit, and for activity performed through your account.
Account and access abuse
You may not:
- impersonate another person or organization, misrepresent affiliation, or create deceptive account information;
- obtain, share, sell, transfer, or use credentials, sessions, MFA factors, recovery phrases, or one-time codes without authorization;
- evade a suspension, rate limit, usage boundary, age rule, email-verification requirement, MFA requirement, or recovery hold;
- create or coordinate accounts to conceal abusive volume or identity;
- access another person's account, conversations, files, progress, or security records; or
- use a test identity or synthetic environment as a path to another environment's data or authority.
Security and system abuse
You may not probe, scan, test, exploit, or attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, row-level security, content security policy, BotID, honeypots, rate limits, request-size limits, file restrictions, provider boundaries, or other safeguards except under Makojima's prior written authorization for a defined security test.
Do not introduce malware, destructive code, credential theft, denial-of-service traffic, spam, unauthorized cryptomining, or requests intended to exhaust compute, storage, email, model, or transcription resources. Do not reverse engineer or extract non-public source, prompts, keys, configuration, model routing, private APIs, or database structure except to the extent a non-waivable law permits.
Automated crawling, scraping, indexing, bulk downloading, browser automation, or high-volume API use requires prior written permission unless it is ordinary search-engine indexing that obeys published controls. You may not interfere with another user, corrupt data, or falsify operational receipts and security events.
Harmful illegal and deceptive use
You may not use the Service to create, request, upload, distribute, or facilitate content or conduct that is illegal; threatens or glorifies violence; exploits or endangers a child; promotes self-harm; harasses, stalks, or targets a person; enables fraud, phishing, identity theft, or financial deception; or meaningfully assists wrongdoing.
You may not present generated content as a real person's statement, professional credential, official school or testing material, or verified fact when it is not. Do not use the Service to manipulate civic processes, evade sanctions, discriminate unlawfully, or make high-impact decisions about another person without lawful authority and appropriate human review.
Academic and professional integrity
Makojima is a study aid, not a method for cheating. You may not use it to obtain or distribute stolen exam questions, answer a live proctored assessment, impersonate a student, fabricate attendance or credentials, evade an instructor's rules, or submit generated work as your own where disclosure or independent work is required.
You are responsible for understanding the rules of your school, course, employer, licensing body, and examination provider. Asking for an explanation, practice problem, feedback, or study plan is generally allowed; using assistance to misrepresent authorship or competence is not.
Privacy confidentiality and rights
Do not submit personal data, confidential client or employer information, protected health or financial records, trade secrets, copyrighted material, or another person's private communications unless you have a lawful right and a genuine need to do so. Minimize sensitive information in every prompt and upload.
You may not dox, surveil, profile, or infer sensitive traits about a person; violate privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or contractual rights; remove ownership notices; or use Makojima content to build a competing dataset, model, or service without permission.
Agents and automated use
Do not treat Agents output as professional advice or use it without human review for legal, tax, accounting, investment, medical, employment, admissions, credit, insurance, housing, or other consequential decisions. Do not request credentials, system prompts, hidden instructions, private training material, provider secrets, or another user's data.
Do not repeatedly resubmit blocked requests, disguise a prohibited purpose, split an abusive task across sessions, or use attachments, audio, encoding, or external links to bypass safeguards. Makojima may apply automated and human review to suspected misuse consistent with the Privacy Policy.
Enforcement
Makojima may reject a request, remove or restrict content, throttle a surface, require stronger authentication, preserve relevant evidence, suspend features or accounts, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, rights, or the Service. The response will consider severity, intent, history, risk, and whether prompt action is required.
We may report apparent criminal activity, credible threats, child-safety concerns, or legally required information to appropriate authorities. We may notify affected providers or rights holders when lawful and reasonably necessary. Enforcement does not promise that Makojima monitors every submission or prevents every violation.
Reporting and appeals
Report suspected abuse or an enforcement error to hello@makojima.com with the relevant account or case reference and a concise description. Questions about this Policy or a legal notice go to legal@makojima.com. Replies will come from the Makojima address responsible for the request. Do not email passwords, MFA codes, recovery phrases, private prompts, or unnecessary personal information.
Where appropriate, you may appeal an account action by explaining why it was mistaken or what remediation you completed. Urgent security holds may remain in place while an appeal is reviewed.
Changes
We may update this Policy as risks, Production features, providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required.
